Isaac Smith, CSCS
Assistant Sports Performance Coach
What do you enjoy most about coaching?
I enjoy being able to teach athletes who are new to strength training, how to move efficiently and become in tune with their bodies. I also love seeing them progress on a daily basis, evolving into better versions of themselves.
Who is your favorite type of client to work with?
My favorite type of client to work with is one who is intrinsically motivated and wants to actually get better for their own sake. They come in everyday with a positive, “get after it” attitude.
In which area do you excel the most in your job?
I believe that I excel most at connecting with clients and being able to convey a difficult concept to them in a way that they are able to understand.
When did you start working for DiamondFit Performance?
I began working for DiamondFit Performance in October 2018 after interning with them from Dec. 2016 to mid Summer 2017.
Degrees, certifications, and accolades…
I have a BS in Sport Management, minor in Sports Science, and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Tell us something about yourself!
In addition to being a strength coach, I am also an amateur strongman competitor. I’ve been competing in strongman for a while now and in that time frame, I’ve competed at Nationals, the Arnold Amateur, and Worlds Strongest Man.
Where are you from?
I am from Fayetteville, NC. I moved to Raleigh in 2011 to attend NC State University and I have remained in the area since graduating in 2016.
