Athletic physical performance can be measured in the body’s safe ability to execute movements with precision, explosiveness, endurance, and power. These movements are ubiquitous across all sports with some giving greater focus to areas than others. With that said, there is a universal importance to enhance the overall strength of the athlete across a comprehensive set of movements for that athlete to safely perform at their peak. This is why the foundation of all that is DiamondFit Performance first begins with our strength based program.

Speed Development Program

Our High-Performance Treadmill program, along with our strength program, focuses on correct movement first, which translates to better performance and improves skills on the playing surface. In order to achieve this, the program utilizes both high speed and high incline to force the athlete in to correct positioning for power production during a run. The goal of the program is to improve neurological functions such as coordination, agility, accuracy, and balance, along with improving the anaerobic threshold and stamina of the athlete. Overall, with improving these skills, the athlete will experience greater power output through increased strength by learning and practicing proper running mechanics throughout the program.

Strength training has many physiological effects, first and most importantly neurological adaptations. Neural adaptions to strength training will improve intra and intermuscular coordination. Through proper teaching of technique and programming, the nervous system will learn the movement and become extremely efficient with the energy transfer through the kinetic chain. With consistent and proper training, the nervous system will be able to synchronize the recruitment of motor units while increasing the firing rate to express more strength. Due to the enhancement of the contraction capacity the body will be able to function at an increased speed of movement.

Our process begins with an assessment screening based on the DiamondFit service you have selected.  This allows the DimaondFit team to identify what level a potential incoming member is performing at and identify any immediate gaps.  We have a strict NO “trying stuff” policy that is put in place to protect our members from potentially injuring themselves.
